Aquila offers a variety of transport options to suit every budget and safari itinerary. Experience the ultimate wildlife adventure with our scheduled departures and return transport from Cape Town to Aquila, and back!
Aquila’s private and shared transfers are available for your travel convenience. Whether you’re booking a day trip safari or staying overnight, choose from our self-drive, standard shuttle (shared) transfers, private transport, or elevate your journey with a scenic, fixed-wing fly-in safari for a luxurious and unforgettable trip.
Self-Drive to Aquila
Follow the scenic N1 out of Cape Town CBD towards Worcester and through the Cape Winelands. Situated under two hours from the CBD, guests will take the R46 Ceres turnoff from the N1 and find the Aquila entrance to the left (about 3km).
Standard, Shared Transfers from Cape Town
Aquila offers return minibus transfers from Cape Town to the reserve (please enquire about our pick up / drop off locations). This economy class option is shared with up to 10 guests, and offers day trip and overnight transfer rates. Airport transfers are NOT included in standard transfers due to differing flight times.
Please note: All transport pick-up and drop-off times are estimated, and can vary depending on pick-up / drop-off locations, roadworks, traffic, and unforeseen circumstances. Transport times will be confirmed the day before your chosen safari date.

Transport Terms and Conditions
- Standard road transfers are offered in share arrangement and services in Toyota Quantums.
- Return transfer: Cape Town Hotel – Aquila Safari – Cape Town Hotel.
- Transfers are not offered with our Early Morning and Sunset Safari programmes.
- Pick-ups and drop-offs are from all Cape Town city centre hotel establishments.
- Please contact reservations for other pick-up locations.
- Duration of transfers are approximately 2.5 hours depending on the pick-up and drop-off locations and time spent at the half-way restroom stop.
- Private transfer rates are added to the standard per person rate.
- A minimum of 2 pax apply to all options of transfer and travel / flight times are estimates as travel is per route, and not time.
- Aircraft and vehicles may change due to availability or number of pax.
- Flights are weather dependent and may be changed to road options should flights be cancelled.
- Standard payment and cancellation terms apply.
- In the unlikely event of a cancellation of a booking, travel insurance must cover our cancellation terms.
- In the event of any flight delays or cancellations, Aquila Private Game Reserve is in no way responsible for any loss whatsoever. Please ensure adequate travel insurance is taken out to cover any eventualities.
- All fly-in transfers will be quoted based on the date of visit, pax and other factors.
